"Pretty handy for video calls"
I’ve been using ManyCam mostly with Zoom and Google Meet, and yeah... it connects easily most of the time. Every now and then after an update I have to go back in and reselect the camera, which is a little annoying, but not a huge deal. Overall, it does what I need it to do. It’s nice for switching between scenes and adding a few small effects during calls.

"I tried using it for a few..."
I tried using it for a few video calls, and the picture kept coming through kind of soft and laggy, even when I had good lighting. The weird part is my webcam looks totally fine in other apps, so I don’t really think it’s an issue with my setup. I also found the settings a bit confusing, and messing around with them didn’t really improve things much. For me, the video quality just didn’t feel worth paying for

"I’ve been using it on both Windows and..."
I’ve been using it on both Windows and Mac and it’s been mostly smooth. The mobile setup was kind of annoying at first—actually, once I got through it, it wasn’t too bad. Overall it works fine for what I need.

"Pretty easy to set up, no major hassle"
I installed ManyCam yesterday the setup wasn’t too bad at all. The download went quick and it found my webcam right away. I did have to restart Zoom once before it showed up in the camera list, which was kind of annoying, but it wasn’t no huge problem. The menus took me a little bit of clicking around to figure out, but after that everything worked fine. I’d give it 4 stars because the setup was good, just not perfect.
"Didn’t really have the features I remember needing"
Maybe I’m forgetting a few things, but I just remember feeling like the features were limited. I expected more options and didn’t find much that felt useful for what I needed.

"I wanted to give it a fair shot..."
I wanted to give it a fair shot, I really did, but I got confused almost right away and then I was just clicking around trying to make sense of it. After a few minutes I kind of hit that point where I was like, okay, this is more frustrating than helpful, so I gave up fast.

"Couldn’t get it to work with Twitch"
I’m not sure if it started happening right away or after I tried logging in a couple times, but Twitch just keeps failing at the login screen. I thought maybe I missed a step earlier, then I tried again later and had the same problem. Frustrating since I mainly wanted to use it with my streaming apps.

"Not gonna lie, it’s too laggy for me"
Not gonna lie, this was frustrating to use. It kept freezing up and made my video lag really bad. I tried messing with the settings to see if that would help, but it still kept stuttering. Just wasn’t worth the headache for me.

"Watch the Billing Before You Sign Up"
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about signing up: the pricing was not as clear as it seemed. I thought I understood what I’d be paying, but then I ended up getting charged more than expected. On top of that, the cancellation info wasn’t easy to find, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. Definitely read everything carefully before you commit.

"Background replacement just didn’t feel fair for the price"
I tried ManyCam mainly because I wanted a decent background replacement for video calls, but it didn’t work as well as I expected.
To be fair, I gave it a real chance and tried adjusting the settings, lighting, and positioning. But it still kept cutting into my hair and shoulders, and the edges around me looked fuzzy and distracting.
I don’t expect it to be perfect, but I do think it should look reasonably clean if that’s one of the main features being offered. For me, it made calls look messier instead of more professional, so I wouldn’t say it was worth it.
"Refund came through, but it made me a little wary"
I did end up getting my refund, so I’ll give them credit for that. Support was fine and eventually helped sort it out, but the wait was longer than I expected. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it did make me trust the process a bit less than before.

"Simple and useful privacy settings"
So far, the privacy controls have been easy to understand and actually useful. I haven’t run into any weird security problems, which is always a relief

"Free version feels way too limited"
I gave the free version of ManyCam a try for a handful of video calls, just to see if it would be enough for basic use. It technically did what it was supposed to do, but quickly it felt like I was being reminded I wasn’t on the paid plan.
The watermark is hard to ignore, and most of the features I actually wanted to use were locked away. I totally understand that a free version has limits, but this one felt less like a helpful free option and more like a preview of what you’re missing.
To be fair, it ran okay and didn’t crash on me much, so it’s not a bad app in that sense. But if you’re hoping to use it seriously without paying, you may end up looking elsewhere fast.

"Not sure if it was just mine, but the audio was rough"
I’m not sure if I got a bad unit or if it was something on my end, but the sound kept cutting in and out. I tried to make it work, but it was frustrating overall

"I kept having trouble with the sources..."
I kept having trouble with the sources switching to the wrong input, which was frustrating. I’m always cautious about stuff like this because I don’t want to risk missing something important or messing up my setup, so it ended up being more of a pain than I expected

"Works fine, but the layout slowed me down"
ManyCam does the job, but the interface felt messy to me. I kept trying to use my usual mental shortcuts, like looking for the obvious settings icon or expecting certain tools to be grouped together, but things weren’t where I thought they’d be. There are a lot of buttons competing for attention, and it made simple stuff take longer than it should have. It works, but the whole layout feels a bit dated and cluttered.

"I feel stupid for trusting this for recording"
I gave ManyCam a try to record a few videos, i’m disappointed. The quality was just bad, the video came out blurry and a little laggy, even though my webcam works totally fine in other apps. The audio went out of sync a couple of times too, which made everything even more frustrating. I kept messing with the settings thinking maybe it was something I was doing wrong, but nothing really fixed it. I feel kind of stupid for trusting it to handle my recordings. Definitely not worth it if you need decent video quality.

"Canceling was more of a hassle than expected"
I tried canceling my ManyCam subscription and it was kind of annoying. I had to poke around through a few pages, and even after I thought I’d done it, I still wasn’t totally sure if it actually went through. Support did get back to me eventually, but it took a bit. The app itself was fine for what I needed, but canceling should really be more straightforward.

"Screen sharing keeps cutting out"
The app works okay overall, and it’s not even about that part. The main issue is that screen sharing freezes or drops way too often, which gets frustrating when you’re trying to actually get something done.

"Oh great, another crash"
This app keeps freezing in the middle of calls and crashes constantly. Super fun when you're actually trying to have a conversation, because apparently that's too much to ask.
